“I blame Oropher for spoiling you,” he said to Thranduil, stroking a hand along his lover’s side, “but then I suppose I may have spoilt him a little myself. Of course, I can’t deny you anything you want any more than he could. You just seem to have that effect on people.” He watched the two of them cuddled up together and smiled. “In a way you seem closer than many brothers. I cannot imagine ever having been affectionate with my elder brother…” he shook his head, sighing. However, looking down at their hair all threaded together made his smile return. “Oh no! Now we are unable to part,” he said, grinning. He blushed when Galion kissed his cheek, still finding the situation slightly unusual, but he was happy nonetheless.
Thranduil laughed softly. “Aye, he spoiled me, but I still grew up to be responsible and sensible when it truly matters! Which is not quite often.” He smiled, kissing their cheeks in turn, and then laid down and spooned up behind Galion, holding Celeborn’s hand. “I think the males of my father’s line will always be spoiled… I do remember just looking at you, meleth, and you would give me anything I wanted and more. Such fun, seeing you run all over the place.” He grinned. “Even when i tugged on your hair.”
He observed them for a moment. “Alas! It seems you are stuck like this forever. Such a shame. You will have to get around with my help, it appears.” He lightly stroked Celeborn’s side and nuzzling Galion’s neck, sighing softly. “Ai, but you two mean so much to me.”
“Oh, Thranduil… you mean I grew up to be responsible and sensible and nudged you into being responsible and sensible when you needed to!” He laughed, giving him a playful nudge. “And that trick of yours worked on everyone. All you had to do was smile and people would shower you with gifts or food.” He sighed happily, pulling Celeborn even closer as he got comfortable against Thranduil.
He reached up to gently stroke Celeborn’s cheek, smiling up at him, closing his eyes briefly as he felt Thranduil nuzzle against his neck. “Ah, this is perfect… Exactly what I needed. Besides… it gives me a good chance to get to know the Elf who has well and truly stolen my king’s heart.”
He squeezed Thranduil’s hand, smiling. “You still have me wrapped around your little finger, meleth,” he said, “but I’m happy to run around after you as long as it makes you happy”. When Galion pulls him closer he finds himself blushing slightly. For some reason, Galion is still able to intimidate him a little. “Responsible and sensible? You?” He blushes even more, realising that what he said could come across as rude. “I only mean that you’re both so much fun, so relaxed… it’s taken me a while to adjust. I’m used to being formal and serious most of the time. I wish I were more like you.” He sighed and closed his eyes. “Stolen his heart?” he murmured, “I can’t imagining possessing any part of Thranduil. He’s much too independant for that. If anything I’d say it’s the other way around.”
He could only laugh. “That is indeed what I meant. You know me well, Galion my dear. And it is not my fault people like me. I do not have them ‘wrapped around my finger’, as you say, I am merely well-liked and just, or something of that order. I have a feeling they all might just like me because I am gracious enough not to eat all the food.” He smiled, amused at the two of them, resting his chin on Galion’s shoulder. He still could not help but feel a little sad, but it was mostly out of selfishness, for he wished to love the both of them equally - if he did not, one would feel excluded, and that was not something he wanted them to be. They did, after all, share an equal place in his heart. “Now now, if we did not have someone to be serious then the entire realm would most likely fall to the ground from our sillyness.” He chuckled at the thought, before glancing up. “You did steal my heart, Celeborn.” he murmured, eyes absently staring at where Galion’s hand touched Celeborn’s cheek. “As Galion once did as well…” He bit back a sigh and smiled at them both.
“Oh, you are more than well-liked, Thranduil.” He grinned, reaching back to weave his fingers into Thranduil’s hair. “The realm loves you. The people love you. We love you.” He turned slightly in order to kiss under the curve of his jaw. He laughed softly, glancing back at Celeborn again. “Fun? Relaxed? Yes I suppose we are. Do not worry, Celeborn, you will be used to the both of us together in almost no time at all. If you can handle Thranduil, you can handle me, too.” He nuzzled against his cheek affectionately. “You do not need to be like us. We like you exactly how you are, is that not right, my dear Thranduil?” He sighed softly at Thranduil’s tone of voice, and he easily turned onto his other side in order to face him, lifting a hand to gently touch his cheek. “You stole mine, too, once. But now you have a far greater heart within your grasp.” Smiling back at Celeborn, he cuddled back against him, resting a hand on the arm that was partially draped over him.
